Ready, Set, Go!

During my time at Bose, I worked independently to create an educational game to train employees in stores around the world about Bose's old, current, and upcoming products. Beyond this function, the game had to also be completely modular. Since the Global Training Content department did not have any programmers employed, the game needed to be updatable by anyone, regardless of their programming ability. So I created a "sub-engine" within Unity, along with documentation and tutorials that anyone can use to update the levels or trivia in the game.
Since I knew many of my players were going to be people who played few games, I had to make sure the mechanics were simple. The car drives forward on its own, and there are no brakes to worry about. The players only has to steer the car left and right, and determine when they want to use their turbo boost. This way, the majority of the player's attention can be focused on the learning aspect of the game, rather than on learning unfamilar mechanics.
